MEET YOUR PROVIDERS

Personal Trainer Dallas

Dr. Whitley Madison, PT, DPT, CSCS

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and personal trainer, I bridge the gap between rehab and performance. With a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science and 8 years of experience in the fitness space, I take a well-rounded approach to training, helping clients build strength, prevent injuries, and move pain-free. With experience as a collegiate athlete and NPC Bikini title holder, I understand the demands of performance, aesthetics, and longevity. As a movement specialist, I focus on quality movement, mobility, and biomechanics, helping clients build a strong foundation while improving strength and confidence. I work with ex-athletes, active individuals, beginners looking to gain confidence, and those recovering from injuries, providing customized programs that prioritize longevity and sustainable progress. I also emphasize nutrition as a key component of performance, recovery, and body composition, helping clients develop habits that support their goals. With experience coaching both in-person and online clients, I provide tailored programming and guidance to fit any training environment. Originally from a small town in Arkansas, I enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with my golden doodle, Olivia, when I’m not in the gym. Let’s build a foundation that keeps you lifting, moving, and thriving for the long haul. Come train with me!

Dr. Brielle Okenfuss, PT, DPT

Originally from St. Louis, my introduction to physical therapy began as a competitive gymnast. After injuries led to my retirement from the sport at 17, I transitioned into coaching and discovered a growing passion for strength training, injury recovery, and movement optimization. Over the next seven years, I coached gymnasts of all levels while earning a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Movement Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Missouri State University. I also became a NASM certified personal trainer, gaining experience in both personal training and group fitness environments.

Over the years, I’ve explored a wide range of training styles—including bodybuilding, powerlifting, CrossFit, yoga, and Pilates-inspired movement. I believe there’s value in adapting your training to meet your body’s evolving needs, with solid movement patterns as the foundation.

In 2024, I relocated to Dallas as a travel physical therapist and gained firsthand experience working in high volume, insurance based clinics. While these settings serve a purpose, I recognized the need for something more personalized—care that prioritizes the individual, not the numbers. That realization drove me to pursue private practice physical therapy, where I could bring concierge-style, one-on-one care to athletes and active individuals. I’m thrilled to bring this next-level care to Recess!

Today, I specialize in helping athletes and active individuals recover from injuries, build resilience, and perform at their best. My mission is to empower people to better understand their bodies and move with confidence.

Outside of the office, you’ll find me traveling, spending time with my dog Georgia, or volunteering at the Dallas animal shelter. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and excited to help you move, feel, and perform better!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO I NEED A REFERRAL FOR PT?2025-06-04T22:28:22+00:00

No! You do not need a referral from a physician in order to get started with your first session! In medically necessary cases, we will need a referral on file within the 10 days following your first session in order to continue treatment.

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?2025-06-04T22:31:24+00:00

We are considered out of network for all insurance companies and are self-pay only. However, we do accept HSA/FSA as payment. Patients may also receive reimbursement through their insurance with the use of Out of Network (OON) benefits. We recommend that you check with your servicer if they are able to reimburse you for wellness services.

WHY DIRECT PAY/OUT OF NETWORK?2025-06-02T18:21:23+00:00

In recent years, insurance companies have continued to reduce reimbursement rates while placing more restrictions on how care is delivered. As a result, many in-network clinics require physical therapists to treat multiple patients simultaneously, limiting the quality of care and individualized attention each patient receives.

Our out of network model allows us to provide one-on-one treatment without the constraints of insurance-driven protocols. This approach ensures that each session is tailored to your specific needs, leading to more effective care and faster recovery—so you can get back to doing what you love, sooner.
